Job Description Summary The position is primarily based in Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela, although qualified candidates from across Latin America are encouraged to apply.Reporting functionally to the LATAM Contract Management Leader, this role serves as the contractual and commercial leader for assigned projects, partnering closely with the Project Director and Project Team. The successful candidate will lead contract strategy, claims, variation orders and commercial negotiations, ensuring the protection of contractual rights, effective risk management and the maximization of project value throughout project execution. Job Description Essential Responsibilities : • Lead contractual and commercial strategy to ensure successful project delivery. • Serve as a trusted advisor to project leadership on contracts, risks, opportunities, and commercial matters. • Identify and maximize revenue opportunities through variation orders, claims, and contract entitlements. • Develop and implement claims, change management, and dispute resolution strategies. • Protect the company’s contractual rights through effective contract administration and documentation. • Lead negotiations with customers, partners, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve favorable outcomes. • Manage subcontractor and supplier contractual obligations, interfaces, and compliance requirements. • Support project risk management and cross-functional collaboration to resolve complex commercial issues and align business objectives. Required Qualification: • Bachelor degree, preferably in Engineering, legal or business administration. • Proven experience as a Contract Manager in complex EPC, infrastructure, industrial, construction, energy or engineering projects. • Experience in hydropower projects, particularly rehabilitation, refurbishment, modernization and/or equipment supply. • Strong background in contract administration, claims management, variation orders, contract negotiations and dispute avoidance. • Proven ability to translate contractual rights, claims, and opportunities into measurable commercial outcomes. • Strong experience managing contractual relationships with customers, consortium partners, subcontractors, and suppliers. • Knowledge of contractual security instruments, including bonds, bank guarantees, and insurance programs. • Fluent in English and Spanish, with excellent negotiation, communication, stakeholder management, and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
