Job Description: The Technology Owner’s primary goal is to maximize the value delivered by Linux and On‑Prem Storage technologies to customers and stakeholders. This involves optimizing and modernizing in-place infrastructure, understanding stakeholder needs, defining platform standards and capabilities, and prioritizing the work of the extended engineering and enablement teams. This role is pivotal in managing and evolving Linux platforms (e.g., Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Oracle Linux) and on‑premises storage infrastructure (e.g., Oracle storage platforms, SAN/NAS systems). The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on engineering expertise with strategic ownership to drive automation, reliability, and infrastructure excellence across hybrid environments. Key Responsibilities • Monitor and optimize Linux and on‑premise infrastructure performance, availability, and cost-efficiency. • Define and execute the technology strategy and roadmap for Linux and on‑premise storage platforms. • Implement automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CI/CD pipelines. • Execute hands-on build, configuration, and maintenance of Linux systems and storage platforms aligned with engineering standards. • Manage physical and virtual servers, storage systems (SAN/NAS), and related data center components. • Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies for critical infrastructure. • Collaborate with hardware and software vendors (e.g., Red Hat, Oracle) for lifecycle management, support, and upgrades. • Implement and enforce security best practices and Linux hardening standards (e.g., CIS benchmarks). • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory standards, and enterprise controls. • Partner with security teams to conduct vulnerability assessments and remediation activities. • Work closely with cross-functional teams including Cloud, DevOps, Security, Networking, and Application teams. • Develop and maintain documentation for architecture, configurations, and operational procedures. • Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams and stakeholders. • Define and maintain Linux platform standards (Red Hat, Oracle Linux) across environments. • Identify opportunities for automation, cost optimization, and performance improvements. • Develop and execute capacity planning and infrastructure lifecycle management. • Participate in Architecture Review Boards (ARB) and contribute to SLA/KPI definitions. • Act as a technology ambassador, guiding adoption of modernized, automated infrastructure solutions. • Contribute to root cause analysis and major incident reviews, driving continuous improvement. Knowledge / Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). • 5+ years’ experience in IT infrastructure, with a focus on Linux and on ‑ prem storage environments. • Strong hands-on experience with Linux operating systems (Red Hat, Oracle Linux) including configuration, patching, performance tuning, and security hardening. • Experience managing enterprise storage platforms (e.g., Oracle storage, SAN/NAS, replication, backup solutions). • Proven experience delivering automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or Ansible. • Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python). • Experience managing physical and virtualized infrastructure, including servers and storage arrays. • Familiarity with data center networking components (switches, firewalls, load balancers). • Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools. • Understanding of security, compliance, and risk management practices. • Experience with hybrid cloud environments and integration between on ‑ prem and cloud platforms. • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues. • Proven ability to lead, influence, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders. • Relevant certifications (e.g., Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), Linux certifications, or cloud certifications) are desirable. • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and technology modernization. #TBdigital
