Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Tax Analyst – Direct Tax & Tax Accounting located in São Paulo, Brazil. In this role, you will support the Company's direct tax function by ensuring tax compliance, accurate tax accounting, timely statutory filings, and support for tax planning initiatives. You will partner with Finance, Accounting, Operations, Legal, and Audit teams to mitigate tax risks, strengthen controls, and drive continuous improvement across tax processes. Responsibilities: • Prepare and review Corporate Income Tax ( IRPJ ) and Social Contribution Tax ( CSLL ) calculations, including monthly and annual tax provisions. • Support direct tax compliance obligations, including ECF, DCTF, PER/DCOMP filings, tax credit management, and monitoring of tax attributes such as tax loss carryforwards and negative CSLL basis. • Monitor tax legislation changes, assess business impacts, and maintain documentation supporting tax calculations and compliance. • Prepare and review current and deferred tax calculations, ETR reconciliations, tax reporting packages, and support monthly, quarterly, and annual tax close activities. • Perform reconciliations of tax-related balance sheet and income statement accounts and support reporting requirements under BRGAAP, US GAAP, and IFRS . • Maintain and enhance tax controls, governance processes, documentation, and management of tax contingencies and uncertain tax positions. • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement, standardization, automation, and operational efficiency. • Support internal and external audits, tax authority inquiries, assessments, and information requests while coordinating activities with external tax advisors. • Partner with Finance, Accounting, Operations, and Legal teams by providing technical tax guidance and communicating tax matters to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Support tax planning initiatives, restructuring projects, strategic business transactions, tax transformation programs, and implementation of new regulatory requirements and corporate tax policies. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Law, or a related field. • Solid experience in Corporate Direct Tax and Tax Accounting. • 5+ Experience with Corporate Income Tax compliance, tax reporting, deferred tax accounting, tax audits, and financial close processes. • Strong knowledge of IRPJ, CSLL, ECF, DCTF, PER/DCOMP , tax loss carryforwards, tax credits, and Effective Tax Rate (ETR) reporting. • Knowledge of BRGAAP, US GAAP, and IFRS. • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills. • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams with a continuous improvement mindset. • Intermediate English level. Yours Skills are: • Experience in multinational corporations. • Knowledge of Transfer Pricing and international taxation. • Familiarity with ASC 740, IAS 12, and FIN 48. • Experience with SAP, BlackLine, Power BI, or similar systems. • Experience with tax technology, automation, analytics, reporting tools, and reconciliation controls.
