Job description The Team As a Senior Manager Pre-Sales Consultant at Hitachi Vantara, you will lead the technical sales process, translating complex customer requirements into compelling Hitachi solutions. You will be a key advisor to both sales teams, business partners, and clients, driving successful engagements and contributing to significant revenue growth. The Role • Lead and manage the technical pre-sales cycle for complex solutions, including discovery, qualification, solution design, and presentation. • Develop and deliver tailored technical presentations, demonstrations, and proofs-of-concept (POCs) to prospective clients and partners. • Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, understanding their business challenges and mapping them to Hitachi's product and service offerings. • Collaborate closely with sales teams to develop winning strategies, provide technical expertise, and support proposal generation. • Conduct technical workshops and training sessions for sales teams and partners to enhance their understanding of Hitachi solutions. • Gather and articulate customer feedback to product management and engineering teams to inform future product development. • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies relevant to Hitachi's portfolio. • Mentor and guide pre-sales consultants, fostering their professional development. • Contribute to the development of pre-sales best practices, tools, and methodologies. What You’ll Bring • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a technical pre-sales role, with at least 3-5 years in a senior or leadership capacity. • Demonstrated expertise in one or more of Hitachi's core solution areas (e.g., data storage, cloud solutions, IoT, digital transformation, data analytics, artificial intelligence, industry-specific solutions). • Strong understanding of enterprise IT architectures, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and relevant industry standards. • Exceptional presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders. • Experience in responding to RFPs/RFIs and developing comprehensive technical proposals. • Ability to travel as required to support customer engagements. • Project management experience and/or certifications (e.g., PMP) are a plus. #LI-FC2 About us We’re a global team of innovators.
